“Kings of the Blue” is a combination of samples from blues records, hip-hop drum sounds, live acoustic drums, the production chops of the group’s members Charlie Apple and Aaron “Trickshot” Johnson, and the engineering skills of Chris Baumann at Black National Studios.
The EP includes two bonus tracks that stretch musical genres beyond the blues, but PARTYGOERS’ core influences remain steeped in blues music, culminating in sounds that can only be described as blues-electronica.
